The volume of the asset portfolio of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in Azerbaijan increased by 18.3% or 159 million euros compared to the previous month and amounted to 1 billion 30 million euros, EBRD told APA-Economics.
The number of implemented active projects increased from 31 to 32.
Noted that 92% of the portfolio (946 million euros) is investments in sustainable infrastructure, 5% (50 million euros) are investments in industry, trade and agribusiness, and 3% (34 million euros) are investments in financial institutions. The volume of the bank's operational assets in the country increased by 0.3% and amounted to 668 million euros.
Thus, the EBRD has invested €3.962 billion in Azerbaijan across 194 projects to date, of which 81% (€3.212 billion) has already been disbursed by borrowers. The share of the private sector in total investments has increased from 26% to 37%.
