It has been recommended that certain public legal entities ensure their expenses are covered more by their own revenues rather than the state budget by mobilizing additional income potential, Minister of Finance of Azerbaijan Samir Sharifov stated during the third reading of the draft law "On the State Budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2025" in the Milli Majlis, APA reports.
The Minister noted that as a result, approximately AZN 159 million will be reallocated for this purpose and directed entirely toward providing additional financial support for measures aimed at further strengthening the country's defense and national security: "With this, the total amount of defense and national security expenditures in the state budget is brought to AZN 8 billion 555 million."
