"Thanks to a series of well-thought-out reforms implemented consecutively, Azerbaijan has further strengthened its position as the leading country in the region," Sahiba Gafarova, the Speaker of the Parliament (Milli Majlis), said at the plenary session of the Milli Majlis held today, APA reports.
The Speaker noted that this year there has been progress in key sectors of the economy: “Our country is implementing major projects related to the transition to a green economy. The restoration of the liberated territories and their reintegration into the national economy is a top priority on our agenda. Our internally displaced compatriots are returning to their homeland. Great importance is attached to the social sphere, with increases in salaries and pensions.”
Sahiba Gafarova noted that both revenues and expenses of the state budget for the next year are at a record level: “The priorities for the 2025 state budget will be increasing the potential of the Armed Forces and implementing the Great Return.
