The budget policy for the next year and the medium-term period has been prepared taking into account the main goals, as well as the main priority tasks set by the President for the Government, Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov stated this during the discussion of the draft law "On the State Budget of the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2025" in the Milli Majlis in the third reading, APA reports.
The Prime Minister noted that the main priority tasks include strengthening the country's military-defense capabilities and national security, implementing the measures envisaged in the "Socio-Economic Development Strategy for 2022-2026", restoring and reconstructing Karabakh and East Zangezur, reintegration into the country's economy and ensuring the Great Return to the territories, implementing an additional social support package to strengthen the social protection of the population and improve their well-being, supporting sustainable economic growth, ensuring macroeconomic stability and budget sustainability, and implementing the measures envisaged in the State Program of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic: "Thus, during the preparation of the budget, the necessary financial provision has been created in the budget for the successful implementation of current tasks, priority expenditure areas to achieve national development goals, and new projects."
