Azerbaijan, Islamic Development Bank mull development of co-op

Azerbaijan's First Deputy Minister of Economy Elnur Aliyev held a number of meetings within the framework of his visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Discussions were held on issues of mutual interest during the meeting with the President of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) Group, Muhammad Sulaiman Al Jasser, and the Deputy Minister of Treasury and Finance of Türkiye Osman Çelik, Azerbaijan's Ministry of Economy told APA-Economics.

According to the information, at the IDB "Directors' Meeting" in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, discussions were held on the formation of the Bank's strategic framework document for the next 10 years (2026-2035), the priorities and directions of the organization, as well as the development needs of member countries.

First Deputy Minister of Economy Elnur Aliyev emphasized that Azerbaijan cooperates effectively with the Islamic Development Bank and that the Bank's support for the projects implemented by Azerbaijan is highly appreciated.
