Annual Meeting of Black Sea Trade and Development Bank commenced in Istanbul, Türkiye

Today, on December 6, the 26th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Black Sea Trade and Development Bank (BSTDB) commenced in Istanbul, Türkiye, APA-Economics reports.

Azerbaijan is represented at the Annual Meeting by the Bank's Board of Governors member, Minister of Finance of Azerbaijan Samir Sharifov.

At the meeting, the Board of Governors will discuss the Bank's medium-term strategy, business plan for 2025-2026, current loan portfolio and funding sources, as well as issues related to expanding opportunities and potential in banking and business among member countries and relevant decisions will be made.

The BSTDB is an international intergovernmental financial credit institution. It was established by the member states of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization, which include Albania, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Bulgaria, Georgia, Moldova, Romania, the Russian Federation, Türkiye, Greece, and Ukraine.

Azerbaijan is represented by Finance Minister Samir Sharifov on the Bank's Board of Governors. The Bank's headquarters is located in Thessaloniki, Greece. The BSTDB supports economic development and regional cooperation, participates in providing loans for projects in both the public and private sectors in member countries, opening credit lines, issuing investments and guarantees, and financing trade.
