Azersighorta tops ranking of Azeri insurers for premiums

Baku. Elnur Huseynguluyev â€“ APA-Economics. Azerbaijan-based insurers earned in total AZN 148.7 million in premiums during January-September 2008, up 45% on a year earlier, according to exact data released by the Ministry of Finance.
Azersighorta State-owned Insurance Company tops the ranking of insurers for the amount of premiums earned over this period . The company earned AZN 16.11 million in premiums (10.8% of the total premiums earned).
MBASK (AZN 15.72 million or 10.6%) and International Insurance Company (AZN 15.04 million or 10.1%) are among the three which earned 31.5% of total premiums.
Gala Sighorta rounds out the list with AZN 20 000 in total. APA-Economics prepared a table ranking insurers in terms of premiums earned in the first quarter.
