A ceremony is being held today in Hamburg, Germany, for the delivery of the first Airbus A321neo aircraft intended for Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) under a lease agreement from AerCap, APA-Economics' correspondent dispatched to Hamburg reports.
A briefing was organized for media representatives before the presentation ceremony.
Speaking at the briefing, Airbus representative Malhar Pens said that the company's main goal is to connect the world through the latest innovations and contribute to the development of sustainable aviation.
He noted that the new A321neo aircraft added to AZAL's fleet have a capacity of 244 passengers and can operate non-stop flights of up to 10 hours.
“More than 20,100 aircraft from the A320 family have already been sold, and 12,600 of them have been delivered to customers. In recent years, the A321neo has become the preferred choice of many airlines. These aircraft consume 20 percent less fuel, which makes tickets more affordable for passengers,” the company representative emphasized.
The participants will later have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the new Airbus A321neo aircraft.
It should be noted that the ceremony is hosted by Christoph Zammert, Head of the A320 Family Programme at Airbus.
