Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan are becoming a unique link in ensuring connectivity between Central Asia and the South Caucasus, Jangeldi Ualybekov, adviser to the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Azerbaijan, said during an international roundtable titled “Azerbaijan as a Logistics Hub of Eurasia: Harmonizing the Interests of the EAEU and the South Caucasus,” APA reports.
He stated that cooperation between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan in the logistics sector is currently developing rapidly.
“Joint work is currently being carried out on the electronic management of cargo transportation, localization of customs and logistics processes for export cargo, development of the infrastructure of the Aktau, Kuryk and Baku ports, expansion of the capacities of land terminals, and modernization of the transport fleet,” he said.
The adviser emphasized that Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan play a special role in strengthening connectivity between Central Asia and the South Caucasus.
