The opening ceremony of the United Nations Public Service Forum was held in Tbilisi, Georgia. A total of 420 representatives from nearly 100 countries, including a delegation from the State Social Protection Fund (SSPF) under Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, are participating in the event, the Ministry told APA.
According to the information, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, Minister of Justice Paata Salia, and United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Economic and Social Affairs Li Junhua spoke at the opening ceremony and emphasized the importance of the Forum.
Within the framework of the event, Zaka Mirzayev, Chairman of the Board of the State Social Protection Fund, delivered a presentation on accessible and people-centered public services during a panel session titled “Integrated Service Delivery Systems for Leaving No One Behind.”
He provided information on the achievements of reforms carried out in recent years in the fields of social insurance and social protection in Azerbaijan, as well as innovative solutions introduced in these areas.
The achievements made in the digitalization and proactive delivery of public social services in Azerbaijan, ensuring efficiency, transparency and citizen satisfaction in the provision of these services, as well as the country’s goals related to the insurance-pension and social protection system, were highlighted.
Other sessions of the Forum discussed the development of inclusive public governance through digital inclusion and participatory governance, as well as transparency mechanisms aimed at strengthening government accountability and public trust.
In addition, presentations were delivered on promoting equal participation for inclusive, innovative and future-ready public institutions, managing digital transformation to advance the sector, digital public infrastructure for the delivery of public services, and other related topics. Participants also exchanged views on accessible and people-centered public services, combating disinformation, and other issues.
