Presidential aide: Investment under the State Program will amount to approximately 700 million manats

“As you know, on May 25, 2026, a meeting dedicated to agricultural issues was held under the chairmanship of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. The current situation in the agricultural sector was extensively analyzed, and tasks related to ensuring the country’s food security, increasing productivity, and reducing dependence on imports were discussed.

On the same day, by the relevant order of President Ilham Aliyev, the ‘State Program for the Development of Production and Processing of Agricultural, Fisheries and Aquaculture Products in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026-2030’ was approved.

In accordance with the President’s instructions, extensive discussions of this program have been held across 13 economic zones since June 12, 2026,” Zeynal Naghdaliyev, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Head of the Territorial and Organizational Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration, said during a regional meeting held in Sabirabad within the framework of the “State Program for the Development of Production and Processing of Agricultural, Fisheries and Aquaculture Products in the Republic of Azerbaijan for 2026-2030,” APA reports.

According to Naghdaliyev, a total of 4,565 people participated in these discussions, including 350 representatives of central executive authorities, 3,608 heads of large farms, agro-parks, and processing enterprises engaged in agricultural production, and 607 heads of local branches of relevant central authorities.

“At the meetings, 51 heads of large farms and agro-parks engaged in agricultural production spoke and stated that they had joined the call of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, putting forward 72 initiatives.

An analysis of the initiatives proposed for the development of crop production, livestock farming, fruit growing, poultry farming, fisheries, potato farming, rice cultivation, and processing industries shows that the total amount of investment will be approximately 700 million manats,” he said.
