An Azerbaijani delegation operating in the field of innovation visited Netafim, one of the world's leading manufacturers of drip irrigation technologies, as part of its visit to Israel, APA's correspondent dispatched to Israel reports.
During the meeting, Netafim's Vice President for Research and Development (R&D), Esteban Sokolsky, and Head of the Digital Agriculture Department, Ofer Inbar, provided the delegation with detailed information about the company's history, development stages, innovative solutions, and achievements in the global market.
It was noted that the company, which operates in more than 100 countries, is considered one of the world leaders in drip irrigation technologies, smart water management systems, and digital agriculture solutions that ensure the efficient use of water resources.
During the meeting, representatives of companies operating within Azerbaijan's innovation ecosystem and Netafim's management exchanged views on the application of innovative technologies in agriculture, digital transformation, efficient water resource management, and opportunities for implementing modern agricultural technologies in Azerbaijan.
Netafim's management also spoke about the company's history of cooperation with Azerbaijan. It was noted that the company has been operating in Azerbaijan for many years and has participated in various projects implemented in the country's agricultural sector. According to the company, projects carried out in different regions of Azerbaijan to introduce modern drip irrigation systems have contributed to more efficient use of water resources, increased productivity, and the wider adoption of innovative approaches in agriculture.
The parties emphasized that there is significant potential for expanding cooperation between Azerbaijan and Israel in agricultural innovations, water technologies, and startup ecosystems. During the discussions, opportunities for implementing joint projects, transferring advanced technologies, exchanging experience, and deepening cooperation in the development of human capital were considered.
At the end of the meeting, the parties noted that strengthening partnership in innovation and high technologies would make an important contribution to the economic development of both countries and the modernization of agriculture.
