Putin ready to cooperate in solving humanitarian problem in Ukraine -UPDATED

Russian President Vladimir Putin has called on his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron to join efforts to ensure the safe evacuation of foreigners from Ukraine, APA's Moscow correspondent reports citing the Kremlin's press service reported on the Putin-Macron telephone conversation.

"Vladimir Putin called on the French President to join efforts to ensure the safe evacuation of foreigners from Ukraine. He especially recalled a large group of Indian students being held hostage by Ukrainian forces in Kharkiv. "Emmanuel Macron has pledged to carry out relevant work with the Kyiv leadership," the statement said.

He also said that Vladimir Putin reaffirmed the readiness of the Russian Federation to cooperate with foreign partners to resolve the humanitarian problems in Ukraine.
