The 32-year-old mother of five babies found dead in an apartment in Orange has been placed in pre-trial detention.
The mother of the five babies found dead in an apartment in Orange (Vaucluse) was charged and placed in pre-trial detention on Friday, July 31, as part of the judicial investigation opened for "murder of a minor under 15 years of age", BFMTV learned from the prosecutor's office, APA reports.
According to a source close to the investigation, the 32-year-old woman, while in police custody, denied killing the five infants. She was arrested Wednesday upon leaving the hospital and taken into custody in Avignon. She had been hospitalized after giving birth at home on Sunday to a healthy baby.
