President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan held a phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday. Presidency’s Communications Directorate said in a statement that two leaders discussed escalating Palestine-Israel conflict and humanitarian crisis in the region, APA reports citing Daily Sabah.
Erdoğan highlighted the “civilian deaths increasing by minute.” The Directorate’s statement said that Erdoğan also pointed out that “silence” of the West brought humanitarian crisis in Gaza on a level that is not “preventable.” He also stressed that Türkiye would exert every effort for restoration of calm in the region.
