Mikheil Kiknadze has been appointed First Deputy Minister of Culture of Georgia, APA's local bureau reports.
Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze signed the relevant decree.
Under the decree, Mikheil Kiknadze will temporarily serve as acting Minister of Culture.
An economist by profession, Mikheil Kiknadze has held senior positions in the civil service for many years. He has been working at the Ministry of Culture since 2025. Prior to his appointment as First Deputy Minister of Culture, he headed the ministry's Internal Audit and Monitoring Department.
It should be noted that Georgia's former Minister of Culture, Tinatin Rukhadze, resigned yesterday, citing health reasons.
