In November of this year, the average price of natural gas in Europe was 10.42 US dollars per 1 million BTU (British thermal unit), which is 4.3% less compared to the previous month’s indicator (10.89 dollars), APA-Economics reports, citing the World Bank’s monthly commodity price report.
According to the report, in the first quarter of this year, the average price of natural gas in Europe was 14.41 dollars, in the second quarter – 11.87 dollars, and in the third quarter – 11.29 US dollars.
The Bank recalls that in 2024, the average price of gas in Europe was at the level of 10.96 dollars, which is 16.4% less compared to the indicator of 2023 (13.11 dollars).
According to the information, in November of the current year, the average price of natural gas in the United States was 3.79 US dollars per 1 million BTU, which is 18.4% more compared to the previous month’s indicator (3.2 dollars).
It is reported that in the first quarter of this year, the average price of natural gas in the US was 4.15 dollars, in the second quarter – 3.18 dollars, and in the third quarter – 3.03 dollars.
It is noted that last year the average price of gas in the US was 2.19 dollars, which is 13.8% less compared to the indicator of the previous year (2.54 dollars).
