In January-November of this year, 24,603.5 kWh of electricity was produced in Azerbaijan, which is an increase of 1% compared to the previous year, APA-Economics reports, citing the State Statistical Committee.
According to the information, 23,783.1 kWh of electricity produced in the country during the reporting period fell to the share of commodity products (an increase of 1%).
The largest share of electricity produced in the country - 20,444.7 kWh - fell to thermal power plants, which is 0.9% more than in January-November 2024.
The rest of the electricity produced in Azerbaijan during the 11 months of this year was obtained from hydroelectric power plants, as well as other alternative and renewable energy sources.
It should also be noted that during the reporting period, wind power plants in Azerbaijan produced 100 million kWh of electricity, which is a 5-fold increase compared to the previous year.
