UK’s Anglo Asian Mining PLC, a gold, copper and silver producer primarily focused in Azerbaijan, confirmed that there is significant copper mineralization in the Kharkhar deposit, APA-Economics reports.
The company unveiled that in accordance with the Joint Ore Reserves Committee (JORC) standard, the Kharkhar field has a copper mineralization zone of 24.9 million tons with an average grade of 0.48%. Anglo Asian Mining stated that there is a total of 106 thousand tons of copper reserves in the 22 million tons of mineralization zone. AAM noted that the total mineral reserve of the field is 119,000 tons.
The company added that 66 drilling wells with a total length of 21,707 meters were used for the assessment of the first mineral resource. In order to obtain underground drilling samples 407 meters of exploratory wells were drilled.
