The United States discussed energy security, security guarantees and Ukraine’s post-war recovery with a Ukrainian delegation and European representatives in Miami, US presidential special envoy Steve Witkoff said on X, APA reports.
According to Witkoff, the talks addressed short-term measures ahead of winter, including ensuring the resilience of Ukraine’s energy system and grain exports.
The participants also discussed security guarantees for Ukraine and ensuring the long-term security of Ukraine and Europe to prevent future conflicts.
Witkoff said the sides exchanged views on supporting Ukraine’s post-war recovery and economic development, as well as its membership in the European Union.
“The exchange was productive and helped identify areas requiring further discussion ahead of the next contacts between the United States and Russia,” he noted.
