Mixed dynamics were observed in the main indices of global stock markets, APA-Economics reports.
In the United States, the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose by 423.31 points, or 0.83%, to 51,654.95 points. The S&P 500 index increased by 46.18 points, or 0.59%, to 7,811.54 points, while the Nasdaq Composite index rose by 172.83 points, or 0.64%, to 27,366.17 points. The NYSE Composite index increased by 141.50 points, or 0.59%, to 23,939.10 points, while Canada’s S&P/TSX Composite index rose by 519.24 points, or 1.48%, to 35,664.62 points.
Growth was also recorded in the main indices of European stock markets. The Euro Stoxx 50 index rose by 46.64 points, or 0.76%, to 6,173.37 points, while the UK’s FTSE 100 index increased by 110.45 points, or 1.06%, to 10,552.05 points. Germany’s DAX index rose by 280.30 points, or 1.13%, to 25,087.27 points, while France’s CAC 40 index increased by 73.64 points, or 0.95%, to 7,803.33 points. Spain’s IBEX 35 index rose by 104.20 points, or 0.55%, to 19,033.10 points.
Mixed dynamics were observed in the Asia-Pacific region. Japan’s Nikkei 225 index fell by 11.19 points, or 0.02%, to 69,030.92 points, while the TOPIX index rose by 13.35 points, or 0.33%, to 4,104.81 points. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng index increased by 425.56 points, or 1.79%, to 24,211.35 points. China’s CSI 300 index rose by 6.98 points, or 0.16%, to 4,317.26 points, while Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 index increased by 55.73 points, or 0.64%, to 8,716.64 points. The region’s overall MSCI AC Asia Pacific index also rose by 1.12 points, or 0.41%, to 274.81 points.
