In January-November 2024, the total value of production in Azerbaijan's mining industry amounted to AZN 37,557.8 million, which is 0.8% more compared to the same period of the previous year, APA-Economics reports citing the monthly report of the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan.
Based on the report, AZN 34,669.5 million of the said total figure accounted for crude oil and natural gas production, which is an increase of 0.9% in annual comparison.
According to the Committee, the production of marketable oil, which is the main product of the sector, totaled 26,510.6 million tons, while marketable natural gas production amounted to 35,115.9 billion cubic meters.
"Marketable oil production decreased by 3.9% compared to the corresponding months of the previous year, while marketable gas production increased by 5.9%," the report states.
It is also mentioned that during the reporting period, a total of 26,570.7 thousand tons of oil (a 4.1% decrease) and 46,033 million cubic meters of gas (a 4.1% increase) were produced in Azerbaijan.
