SOCAR plans to acquire 100% shares in the “Gama Energy Central Anatolia” power plant (870 MW) located in Türkiye, said Prime Minister Ali Asadov at the 12th meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Türkiye, APA reports.
Asadov said that SOCAR, the leading force of Azerbaijan's energy cooperation, is expanding its activities in Türkiye today: “In this context, Petkim plans to build a number of new factories and modernize some factories. At the same time, SOCAR plans to acquire 100% shares in the “Gama Energy Central Anatolia” power plant (870 MW) located in Türkiye ($225 million). An agreement in this regard will be signed tomorrow at the 2nd Azerbaijan-Türkiye Investment Forum.”
