Georgia is fully dependent on foreign fuel, with imports concentrated among several key countries, Mirza Shavgulidze, Head of the Commercial Department at SOCAR Georgia Petroleum, said while speaking at the 2nd Caspian and Central Asia Oil Trade and Logistics Forum organized by GLENMAR Group, APA-Economics reports.
According to him, petroleum products are mainly imported from Russia, Bulgaria, Romania, and Azerbaijan.
"Azerbaijan ranks second in the field of diesel, which is the main product," Mirza Shavgulidze noted.
He added that nearly half of total imports — 48% — account for fuel, followed by AI-95 and AI-92 grades of gasoline.
