Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has also spoken about the submission of the Convention on the Legal Status of the Caspian Sea to parliament, APA's Tehran bureau reports.
Araghchi said that the Convention was sent to parliament by the previous government in 2019 for a decision.
According to him, the other four Caspian littoral states have already adopted this Convention, and its adoption by Iran depends on the approval of the Iranian parliament.
Araghchi concluded by saying that countries such as Russia want the Convention to be implemented swiftly and that one of the main features of the document is that there will be no foreign military forces in the Caspian Sea.
