“SOCAR Carbamide” plant awarded the World Economic Forum’s Digital Lighthouse Award, APA’s correspondent dispatched to Davos reports.
SOCAR’s Chief Digitalization Officer, Murad Abdullayev, told Azerbaijani journalists that to date, 250 companies worldwide have been awarded this distinction.
Murad Abdullayev noted that SOCAR is the only energy company in the world to have received the “Digital Lighthouse Award” for the third time: “This demonstrates that the systematic digital transformation underway at SOCAR is progressing in the right direction. The reason we have achieved such strong results in systematic digital transformation is that we do not implement transformation merely to apply a particular project or technology; rather, we carry it out in line with the company’s strategy and objectives. Our goals are to increase efficiency, transition to green energy, and enhance people’s ability to use new technologies.”
Note that yesterday, within the framework of President Ilham Aliyev’s participation in the Davos Economic Forum, the World Economic Forum’s “Digital Lighthouse Award” was presented to the “SOCAR Carbamide” plant.
“SOCAR Carbamide” is the first plant operating in Azerbaijan to receive this award, and SOCAR is the only energy company in the world to hold three “Digital Lighthouse Award” distinctions.
