The "Sarigishlag" Hydroelectric Power Station of "AzerEnerji" OJSC was commissioned in Azerbaijan's Zangilan, APA's regional correspondent reports.
“Sarigishlag” HEPS is part of a cascade of four hydroelectric stations built in Zangilan on the Okhchuchay River. The other three stations—“Jahangirbeyli,” “Shayifli,” and “Zangilan”—were previously commissioned with President Ilham Aliyev's participation. In line with the concept of a green energy zone, all work at the "Sarigishlag" HPP, from the installation of diversion pipes and foundation work to the construction of the machine hall and open switchgear, has been carried out in full compliance with normative standards.
In a statement to journalists, the director of “AzerEnerji” OJSC and “Yashil Enerji” LLC Ramiz Valiyev mentioned that 35% of the water coming from the main intake, created with special structures for the protection of flora and fauna, is retained in the riverbed and Diversion pipes have been installed. He also noted that measures have been taken to ensure that the water exiting the pipes is returned to the river without loss.
