Production of chemical industry products in Azerbaijan rises by over 5% -TABLE

Last year, products worth 2,261.9 million manats were produced in Azerbaijan in the chemical industry, pharmaceutical products, and rubber and plastic products sectors, APA-Economics reports, citing the monthly report of the State Statistical Committee.

Compared to the previous year, production of pharmaceutical products increased by 86.3 percent, rubber and plastic products by 16.1 percent, and chemical industry products by 5.2 percent.

According to the information, during the reporting period, production of polyethylene among chemical industry products increased by 21.2%, ethylene production by 17.6%, and among rubber and plastic products, production of plastic bags and sacks except polyethylene rose by 91.9%, plastic bottles, flasks, and similar products by 24.6%, and plastic rods, bars, and profiles by 24.1%.
