The Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) has updated its forecast for average daily global oil demand for 2025-2026, APA-Economics reports, citing OPEC's monthly report.
According to the forecast, this year's figure is expected to be 105.14 million barrels (the forecast has not changed), which is 1.3 million barrels more than the forecast for 2024.
In addition, OPEC has announced its forecast for daily global oil demand for next year. Thus, the organization assumes that the figure will be 106.52 million barrels (the forecast has not changed), which is 1.38 million barrels more than the forecast for 2025.
According to the report, last year's daily global oil demand was 103.84 million barrels. barrels, which is an increase of 1.63 million barrels compared to the figure for 2023.
It should be noted that in 2023, global daily oil demand was at 102.21 million barrels, which is 2.55 million barrels more than the previous year.
