At the close of trading yesterday, the price of gas in Europe exceeded $450 per 1,000 cubic meters, APA-Economics reports.
On January 16, the price of February futures based on the TTF index (the Netherlands’ Title Transfer Facility, Europe’s most liquid virtual trading hub) amounted to $451.6, which is 13.4% higher compared to the previous settlement price of $398.4.
Note that since December 31, 2020, the transportation of Azerbaijani gas to Europe via the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) has been launched.
