“Concrete steps are being taken to transmit natural gas to Türkiye through the Caspian pipeline," said Türkiye’s Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Alparslan Bayraktar, APA reports.
The minister stated that transporting hydrocarbon reserves from the eastern Caspian to the western Caspian is of great importance:
“We have now reached the stage of taking concrete steps toward delivering natural gas to Türkiye through the Caspian pipeline, a goal we have aspired to for 30 years. The infrastructure on the western side of the Caspian is already in place for this purpose. TANAP is an extremely strategic project in this regard. The progress we will achieve in this direction will contribute to the development of Turkic States and will also have a game-changing impact on the energy markets of Europe and the Mediterranean,” Alparslan Bayraktar said.
