Last year, Georgia imported 417.3 million kilowatt-hours of electricity from Azerbaijan, APA's local bureau reports, citing the report of the Georgian State Electrosystem JSC.
Compared to 2024, the volume of electricity increased by 231.33 million kilowatt-hours, or 2.2 times.
In the reporting year, the total volume of electricity supplied by Georgia exceeded 1.5 billion kilowatt-hours, which is approximately 27% more than the previous year. The neighboring country imported 971.2 million kilowatt-hours, 128.5 million kilowatt-hours, and 40.5 million kilowatt-hours of electricity from Russia, Armenia, and Türkiye, respectively.
In 2025, 594.1 million kilowatt-hours of electricity were transmitted from Azerbaijan to Türkiye through Georgia, which is 41% less than the previous year.
