From January to November this year, 36,303.5 million cubic meters of gas were transported through Azerbaijan’s main gas pipelines, representing a 0.04% decrease compared to the same period last year, the State Statistics Committee told APA-Economics.
58.2% of the gas transportation was carried out via the Baku–Tbilisi–Erzurum South Caucasus Pipeline.
Gas produced at the Shah Deniz gas-condensate field is exported through this pipeline.
During the reporting period, 21,121.8 million cubic meters of gas were transmitted via this pipeline, marking an increase of 1.61%.
It should be recalled that last year, 40,348.3 million cubic meters of gas were transported through Azerbaijan’s main gas pipelines, reflecting a 2.7% increase compared to the previous year. Of this volume, 56.6% was transported via the Baku–Tbilisi–Erzurum South Caucasus Pipeline. During that period, 22,851.9 million cubic meters of gas were transmitted through this pipeline, which represented a year-on-year increase of 4.3%.
