Gas transportation via Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum South Caucasus pipeline increased by more than 4%

From January to November of this year, a total of 36,319.3 million cubic meters of gas was transported through the main gas pipelines in Azerbaijan, marking a 0.8% increase compared to the previous year, State Statistical Committee told APA-Economics.

57.2% of the gas transportation was carried out through the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum South Caucasus pipeline.

This pipeline is used to export gas produced from the Shah Deniz gas-condensate field.

During the reporting period, 20,786.7 million cubic meters of gas were transported through this pipeline, reflecting a 4.3% increase.

Recall that last year, Azerbaijan transported 39,806.9 million cubic meters of gas through its main gas pipelines, with a 1.4% increase compared to the previous year. 54.8% of the gas transportation was carried out via the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum South Caucasus pipeline. During that period, 21,800.1 million cubic meters of gas were transported through this pipeline, representing a 4.8% increase compared to 2022.
