In January of 2024, 3 871,3 mln. cubic meters of gas was transported via main gas pipelines of Azerbaijan which is 7,3% less in annual comparison, the State Statistics Committee told APA-Economics.
48,5% of gas transportation was implemented via the Baku-Tbilisi-Arzurum South Caucasus gas pipeline. Through this pipeline, the gas produced in the Shah Deniz gas condensate field is exported.
During the reporting period, 1 878,7 mln. cubic meters of gas was transported via this pipeline (a 0,86% decrease).
Recall that in 2023, 39 806,9 mln. cubic meters of gas was transported via Azerbaijan’s main gas pipelines, which was 1,4% more in annual comparison.
54,8% of gas transportation was implemented through the Baku-Tbilisi-Arzurum South Caucasus pipeline. During the reporting period, 21 800,1 mln. cubic meters of gas was transported through this pipeline (4,8% growth in comparison to the indicator of 2022).
