It was very nice to see Europe coming to Azerbaijan for COP-29, said Domion Potter, a public relations specialist at the UK-based H/Advisors company, in a statement to Azerbaijani journalists, APA’s correspondent dispatched to Davos reports.

He noted that he was impressed by Azerbaijan’s commitment, following COP29 held in Baku, to export eight gigawatts of renewable energy to neighboring countries and Europe: “It’s not just about holding an event with the participation of 70 different heads of state and various delegations from around the world. That is part of COP, but what is more important is that the parties adhere to the results they achieve in the meeting rooms. We do not emphasize this enough, especially the achievements we gain for losses, damages, and communities affected by climate change. There is a long-term strategy in place for transitioning from oil to other renewable energy sources for the welfare of the Azerbaijani people. This not only helps prosperity but also provides the opportunity to breathe cleaner air. This is beneficial not only in the South Caucasus but also for other countries in the world.”

He also recalled that he has been to Azerbaijan several times: "I used to live in Moscow, but I often came to Baku to work with English companies. I'm also a Eurovision fan. After Azerbaijan won the contest, it was very nice to see Europeans coming to Azerbaijan. At the same time, Formula 1 takes place in the center of Baku."
