“Twenty percent of the solar panels for the Jabrayil power plant have been delivered,” Bakhtiyar Aslanbayli, BP’s Vice President for the Caspian region, said during his speech at the 3rd Industrial Safety Summit, APA reports.
He noted that the value of these panels is 13 million US dollars: “We have contracts related to the Karabakh field. The projects for the construction of the Gunes-Shefeg Power Plant in Jabrayil are being implemented in line with the challenges of a new era. The solar power plant in Jabrayil represents a new sector in which we have not previously operated in Azerbaijan. Solar panels worth 13 million dollars have already been delivered to Jabrayil. Construction of the plant in Jabrayil will begin in a short period of time,” he stressed.
Note that the 3rd Industrial Safety Summit is being held through the joint organization of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, SOCAR, and the Azerbaijan Industrial Safety Association (AISA).
