In January–September of this year, Azerbaijan’s revenues from transportation via main gas pipelines amounted to 2,071,837.4 thousand manats, which is 3.6% higher compared to the corresponding period last year, the State Statistical Committee told APA-Economics.
In January–September 2024, this indicator was at the level of 1,999,005 thousand manats.
Note that in January–September of this year, 29,825 million cubic meters of gas were transported through main gas pipelines in Azerbaijan, showing an increase of 0.9% compared to the corresponding period last year.
57.5% of gas transportation was carried out through the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum South Caucasus pipeline. Gas produced at the ‘Shah Deniz’ gas-condensate field is exported through this pipeline. During the reporting period, 17,135.6 million cubic meters of gas were transported through this pipeline (an increase of 1.98%).
Recall that in 2024, Azerbaijan’s revenues from transportation via main gas pipelines amounted to 2,707,608.8 thousand manats, which represents a 7.6% increase in an annual comparison.
Last year, 40,348.3 million cubic meters of gas were transported through the main gas pipelines in Azerbaijan, showing a 2.7% increase compared to the previous year. 56.6% of gas transportation was carried out through the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum South Caucasus pipeline. During the reporting period, 22,851.9 million cubic meters of gas were transported through this pipeline (an increase of 4.3%).
