In January-September of the current year, 29,571.2 million cubic meters of gas was transported through main gas pipelines in Azerbaijan, and an increase of 0.5% was observed compared to the indicator of the previous year, APA-Economics reports citing the State Statistics Committee.
According to the report, 56.8% of gas transportation was carried out through the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum South Caucasus pipeline.
Through this pipeline, gas produced in the "Shahdeniz" gas-condensate field is exported.
Thus, during the reporting period, 16,802.8 million cubic meters of gas was transported through this pipeline (an increase of 2.34%).
It should be recalled that last year 39,806.9 million cubic meters of gas was transported through main gas pipelines in Azerbaijan, and a 1.4% increase was observed in comparison with the previous year. 54.8% of gas transportation was carried out through the Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum South Caucasus pipeline. During the reporting period, 21,800.1 million cubic meters of gas were transferred through this pipeline (a 4.8% increase compared to the indicator of 2022).
