In January-August of this year, Azerbaijan exported 617,360.36 tons of petroleum products worth USD 466.75215 million, APA-Economics reports.
According to calculations based on figures published by the State Customs Committee, during the reporting period, the value of petroleum products exported by Azerbaijan increased twofold, while the volume increased by 40.7% compared to the corresponding period of 2025.
It should be noted that oil in Azerbaijan is refined at the Heydar Aliyev Baku Oil Refinery, the foundation of which was laid in 1953. The refinery fully meets the country’s demand for petroleum products. Reconstruction and modernization work is currently underway at the refinery.
It should be recalled that Armenia is also included in the export geography of Azerbaijan’s petroleum products.
