In accordance with the "green energy" strategy, hydroelectric power stations have been established in 11 places in Lachin district, and the establishment of these stations are ongoing, Tofig Islamov, the Executive Director of the Restoration, Construction and Management Service in Lachin district, said this in a panel discussion held within the Khazar Construction Week, APA-Economics reports.
He underlined that as a result, more than 80 million kilowatt hours of green energy were produced: "More than 20 million cubic meters of natural gas were saved and 32 thousand tons of carbon dioxide were prevented from being released into the atmosphere."
