Azerbaijan increased gas export up to 26%

"Azerbaijan exported 11.2 billion cubic meters of gas in the first half of this year, which is 25.7% more compared to last year," Azerbaijan's Minister of Energy Parviz Shahbazov wrote on his Twitter account, APA-Economics reports.

"According to operative data, 5.4 bln. cubic meters of gas was exported to Europe, 4.3 billion cubic meters to Turkiye, and 1.5 billion cubic meters to Georgia in the first half of the year. During this period, the gas export increased by 25.7%."

It is noted that 13.4 million tons out of 16.5 mln. tons of oil produced in the country during the reporting period were transported for export.

"Compared to the same period last year, 11.2 billion cubic meters of gas out of 23.4 billion cubic meters produced with an increase of 15.1%, were exported," the post says.
