Approximately $134 million in operating expenditures and $363 million in capital expenditures were spent on activities at the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) field block in the first quarter of 2026 (total – $497 million), APA-Economics reports, citing BP’s report on its operations in Azerbaijan for the first quarter of 2026.

According to the report, processing of the data acquired in 2025 continued during the first quarter as part of the 4D high-resolution ocean-bottom node seismic survey program conducted at the ACG field.

“During the quarter, offshore operations also continued under the subsea intervention program at several wells in the Deepwater Gunashli area. As part of these operations, subsea intervention work on the first well was successfully completed, and after the necessary data had been collected, the well resumed water injection operations,” the report said.

Stable production from ACG continued safely and reliably in the first quarter of 2026. Total production from ACG during the quarter — from the Chirag (19,500), Central Azeri (89,800), West Azeri (74,800), East Azeri (43,900), Deepwater Gunashli (47,700), West Chirag (22,600), and ACE (26,700) platforms combined— averaged 325,000 barrels per day, or approximately 29 million barrels in total, equivalent to 4 million tons.

It was reported that at the end of the quarter, a total of 149 oil production wells, 50 water injection wells, and 11 gas injection wells were in operation at ACG. During the reporting period, 2 oil production wells, 3 water injectors, and 1 gas injector well were drilled and completed at ACG.
