800 million cubic meters of gas was produced from the Absheron field this year

In January-June of this year, 25.1 billion cubic meters of natural gas were produced in Azerbaijan, the Ministry of Energy of Azerbaijan told APA-Economics.

According to the information, 6.5 billion cubic meters of gas produced from the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli block, 14 billion cubic meters from the "Shah Deniz" field, 0.8 billion cubic meters from the "Absheron" field, 3.8 billion cubic meters produced within SOCAR.

"Compared to the corresponding period of last year, an increase of approximately 1 billion cubic meters, i.e. 4.3%, was recorded in gas production", - it is noted in the information.

According to the information, gas sales to abroad during the reporting period amounted to approximately 12.7 billion cubic meters, which is approximately 6 % more in comparison with the corresponding period of last year.

In January - June, 6.4 bcm of gas was exported to Europe, 5 bcm to Türkiye, and 1.3 bcm to Georgia. During this period, TANAP supplied Türkiye with 2.8 bcm of gas.
