150 bcm gas produced from Shah Deniz so far

Since the commissioning of the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli and Shah Deniz fields until February 1, 2024, 428,8 billion cubic meters of gas were produced from here, the Ministry of Energy told APA-Economics.

During the reporting period, 217,4 bcm of gas was produced from ACG, and 211.4 bcm from Shah Deniz.

"During this period, 150 bcm of gas produced from Shah Deniz field was transported for export," the Ministry said.

According to operational data for January 2024, 4,3 bcm of natural gas was produced in the Republic over the month. 1.1 bcm of gas was produced by ACG, 2.4 bcm by Shahdeniz, 0.13 bcm by Absheron, and 0.7 bcm by SOCAR. In comparison with the corresponding period of last year, the gas was produced with an increase of 30 million cubic meters.

"During the reporting period, the sale of gas abroad was 2,3 bcm, which is 4,5% more in comparison with the corresponding period of last year. 1.1 bcm of gas was sold to Europe, 0,8 bcm to Türkiye, and 0,4 to Georgia. During this period, 0.4 bcm gas was transported to Türkiye with TANAP," the Ministry states.
