Azerbaijan, Iran postpone gas talks
# 03 November 2008 13:26 (UTC +04:00)
Baku. Rashad Suleymanov – APA-Economics. Azerbaijan and Iran have postponed a meeting on gas export for an indefinite period, said Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Industry and Energy. The meeting had been scheduled for November 3.
The ministry attributed the postponement to the busy schedule of Iranian negotiating delegation.
The parties would have discussed issues of Iran’s aspiration to buy Azeri gas and the transit of natural gas through Iran.
Iran takes interest in buying natural gas coming from Shah Deniz Gas and Condensate Field in the Azerbaijan’s sector of the Caspian Sea.
