Asgarov said that the candidates making speeches on the Public Television and Radio Broadcasting Company stir up useless scandals instead of outlining their platforms: “We expect what they will offer unlike the program of the authorities. Unfortunately, we see only scandals and slanders instead of our expectations.”
Asgarov also commented on the accusation of Jamil Hasanli, a presidential candidate of the National Council, regarding the illegal withdrawal of $48 billion from the country: “This person should present such a document that can prove this fact. His papers are not documents, just groundless materials published by newspapers of foreign countries. The articles published by foreign media are often the results of the games of Armenian lobby. Moreover, the speeches, statements of the organizations having biased position on Azerbaijan are not proofs. I would like the candidate putting forward this accusation to appeal to the lawyers and learn what fact is. One can speak about it, only if these facts are line with the requirements of the Criminal Procedural Code.”
Ziyafat Asgarov said the materials submitted by Jamil Hasanli as documents are groundless, they are meaningless pieces of paper.
