If Armenia's membership in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) is suspended, the country's total trade turnover with the union's member states could decrease by $4.4397 billion, or 55.6%, APA reports.

This was stated in a report prepared by representatives of Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan for members of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council.

The document notes that Armenia's trade turnover with EAEU member states could decline from $7.9906 billion recorded in 2025 to $3.5509 billion.

It is stated that the suspension of Armenia's EAEU membership would lead to the full application of sanitary and veterinary-sanitary controls on products.

In addition, the suspension of membership could result in the introduction of labor quotas and a requirement for Armenian citizens to obtain work permits to work.
