Council of Europe told APA that the PACE delegation led by Robert Walter (UK) and consisting of 32 persons is already in Baku. They will meet with CEC chairman, representatives of political parties, NGOs and media. The mission members will observe the process across the country on the voting day.
At the end of last week, short-term observers of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights also arrived in Azerbaijan. The mission consists of 280 persons. A part of mission members will be sent to the regions today.
EP 7-member mission led by Italian Pino Arlacchi is also in Baku. They will hold several meetings up to election and observe the voting on October 9.
OSCE ODIHR, PACE and EP missions will hold joint press conference on October 10 and release initial opinions regarding election process and results.
