Mignon answered the questions of APA’s Europe bureau on the upcoming presidential elections in Azerbaijan and whether the PACE Subcommittee on Nagorno Karabakh will hold meeting between Azerbaijani and Armenian delegations within the session.
Answering the question on the upcoming elections, the PACE President said: “As you know, the Assembly has recently sent its pre-election observation mission to Azerbaijan regarding the upcoming elections. I consider that the mission’s visit was held properly. The head of the mission Robert Walter has reported on this visit earlier today and we have taken into consideration the necessary points. We have also considered the statement issued by the mission in Baku. In the coming days the Assembly will send its election mission to Baku to observe whether the elections will be held properly or not. I think that the elections will be held properly.”
